At Want2Dance we offer you the opportunity to learn Modern Jive at venues across the Midlands in a relaxed, non-threatening, safe environment, where the emphasis is on having fun.

At Want2Dance Burton & Tamworth, we nurture an easy-going and friendly atmosphere, where people come along, not simply to attend a dance lesson, but to enjoy a great social night out.

We know that when people arrive for the first time, they can feel a little nervous, and often tell us that they have two left feet. But whether you come as a couple, on your own, or as part of a group, at Want2Dance Burton and Tamworth, you are assured of a warm welcome, where the Team will help you feel at ease and explain the format of the evening. We remind people that we have all been Beginners once, and remember what it feels like ... so just relax and don't take it too seriously!

We follow the usual format, whereby after helping everyone partner up, we introduce the key elements of Modern Jive, and then do a gentle warm-up. Three Beginner moves are then demonstrated, and taught individually by breaking each one down into basic steps; we then walk through the move together, and finally practice them to music. The moves are taught one by one, and then linked together; so after 20-30 minutes, a brand new Beginner will be able to get through an entire track, dancing those three moves to music.

So come along and enjoy a great social evening where you'll meet new people, benefit from a good cardio-vascular workout - without even realizing it - dance to some superb music, and most of all, come and have a lot of fun!
